The latest Livedrive app for iPhone and iPad went live yesterday in the iTunes App Store. This release has some fantastic new features and a vastly improved look and feel.
Since it’s launch back in December 2009 the Livedrive mobile app has been providing iPhone and iPad users with an easy way to access all of their photos, music, documents and video on the move. You can create photo slideshows, build music playlists and even stream your videos to your device on the fly – no matter what the video format. We’ve had some fantastic feedback from you all over the past year and a half, telling us what you want to see in the next release. And with this release we’ve added some great features and improvements all round.
Super new iPad layout
Livedrive now looks better than ever on your iPad, thanks to our new split-view layout which lets you browse your files more quickly and easily. Your files and folders are shown down the left hand side of your screen and your document preview on the right. Simply rotate your screen to get a full screen portrait view of any document.
Offline Files
Livedrive now caches your Favorites and Recently Viewed Files for offline access – so no matter whether you regularly travel on the underground, or just want to use your iPad when you’re away from Wi-Fi, you can now access your most important documents, music, videos and photos wherever you are – even when you’re not online.
Improved Photo Quality
Over the past year Apple have not only released the iPad, but they’ve also released the iPhone 4, which includes a super bright and high resolution retina display. With the newest iPhone and iPad app we’ve improved the quality of our photo viewer so that you can now enjoy your photos in fantastic high resolution.
